Pick a Pen Gardens is an original Roll & Write game, designed by Reiner Knizia. In this game you do not roll with dice, but with colored pencils.
In Pick a Pen Gardens you score points by placing matching flowers and trees in your gardens. Gardens are represented by marked boxes on your scoresheet.
In Pick a Pen Gardens, the active player rolls five colored pencils (purple, red, green, blue, and orange). There are numbers on the sides of the pencils. The player chooses a colored pencil and colors the indicated number of spaces on his scoresheet. The cells must be adjacent to each other and to previous colored groups.
You try to fill each garden with 1 color or with 5 different colors. If you succeed, you get bonus points.
The game of Pick a Pen Gardens is over when a player has either colored all of his gardens or has not been able to color anything five times.
This game features scoresheets in three different levels to give you a lot of variety!
Do you already know the games Pick a Pen Crypts and Pick a Pen Reefs? Coloring fields is also central to these Roll & Write games, but in a different (surprising) way.
