History of the Ancient Seas I: Hellas
- English
In Hellas, the first part in the History of the Ancient Seas game series, you lead one of the major city-states: Sparta or Athens. Your goal is to become the leading empire.
Build armies and fleets to increase your military might, expand trade routes, conquer islands and provinces, increase your military skills and develop economic efficiency and culture.
The heart of the game system is the action cycle: players choose one of eight possible actions. Actions chosen by one player cannot be chosen later by the next player. The number of possible actions is limited each turn.
You decide for yourself about war or peace. When you lead your people to war, the outcome is uncertain. You can lead your empire into the golden age of civilization by keeping the peace and bringing stability and wealth to your people. Offer conditions to aggressive enemies to distract or slow them down, but always be prepared to defend your empire.
In the Hellas board game you move wooden playing pieces across the beautifully illustrated map from the center of the Hellenistic world to the shores of Persia in the east and the sandy beaches of Sicily in the west.
